Day 23 - Describe Your Perfect Day

NZCC 2013 Blog Challenge Day 23 - Describe Your Perfect Day
Being part of someone's perfect day is what we do :) Our jukeboxes have seen all kinds of perfect days - from weddings and birthdays to surprise parties and work dos. And because jukeboxes never rest, your party can rock on well into the next day!

We've collected jukeboxes that are still pumping 24 hours after we dropped them off - and Taranaki people know how to party! We've seen it all: beer can walls, 44 gallon drums filled with empty wine bottles, even a bride and groom missing their flight because they were still celebrating.

So, if you want non-stop music for your perfect day, a jukebox is the only way to go.

Let me hear you scream, but not at my wedding...

Ozzy Osbourne won't sing at his son Jack's wedding.

Ozzy's daughter Kelly Osbourne explained that the kind of rock the Black Sabbath lead singer would perform isn't suitable for the romantic nuptials.

Kelly's sibling is expected to wed fiancée Lisa Stelly this year after a whirlwind romance. The couple got engaged after only four months and announced Lisa's pregnancy shortly after.

"No," Kelly told US publication E! Online when asked if her dad would sing at the happy event. "I don't really think rock music is quite appropriate for a wedding!"

The 27-year-old can't contain her excitement and wells up every time she sees her younger brother.

Kelly is incredibly proud that Jack has turned his life around after struggling with addiction.

The 26-year-old has been sober since 2003. Before his stint at rehab, Jack went into a downward spiral consuming drink and taking OxyContin pills.

"He makes fun of me because every time I'm around him I get teary eyed now," the Fashion Police host admitted.

"He's like, 'Stop it! Go Away. Stop being dramatic. Get out of my face.' Because I'm like, 'I'm so proud of you. You're moving into a new house. You're getting married. You're having a baby. You have the most amazing fiancée ever!'"

Ghostbusters cake

It's hard to imagine ordering any of these cakes, but the world is much more fun because some people do. This week, the cake making a scene was constructed by Baltimore's Charm City Cakes, known for their work on the show, Ace of Cakes. The cake begs questions about the couple's connection to Ghostbusters. Did the two meet as members of the original film crew, circa 1985? Are they both related to Rick Moranis? Do they have an exorcism practice together? No, DonnaMarie and Ricky just really really like the movie. So, they did what any GB fans would do, they asked the bakery to recreate the climax of the movie, in cake. The couple provided pictures of the scene, as well as the DVD for Charm City Cakes to reference. If you want to see the light-up component of the cake and pictures of the couple, you'll have to check out the bakery's blog.

Royal cake

Royal cakes go big. This sheet cake from the wedding of King Abdullah of Jordan to Queen Rania decided it had conquered enough horizontal space, and did what few sheet cakes have done before, it went vertical.

Barbie's palace cake

The ultimate punishment if he says he doesn't want to be involved with the wedding planning.

Hamburger cake

A little off topic, but she seems supportive.

Nintendo cake

Super Mario has this effect on some people.

Starry Night cake

The most over-exposed poster becomes a completely unique cake. Smart move.

Jdate cake

Likes: Kooky cakes. Hates: Independent coffee shops.

The "Me" cake

The groom may look back at this picture when he wonders if there were signs early on. Not self-obsessed at

Wedding Tip: You don't have to invite everyone

faqs.org/message-in-a-bottle.html
Invite people who will make the night even more special, you don't have to invite everyone. If there is someone that may cause friction with another person, let them know if they want to come then they need to talk with the other person and agree to put aside their differences for a day.

Party tip: Start planning early with the invitations

Start planning early with the invitations, They set the tone for the party!

Veags theme - Custom cards printed up with the invitation on the back!

Island theme - A scroll in a bottle (even include some sand for laughs)

70s/ Diso theme - Check out spotlight for 70s material and use a marker pen on it.

Goth theme - A black envelope will stand out, try sealing it with red wax and a stamp.

That’s a few to get your creative juices flowing :)

Wedding Tip: Dinner instead of gift?

Have your guests buy their dinner in lieu of a gift, this is a good way of weeding out the people who are just there for the free night out.
