Sean Paul pulls out of Raggamuffin

Sean Paul has pulled out of the Raggamuffin festivals, or atleast he just didn't turn up.
Festival goers who turned up to the Perth were the first to find out that Sean Paul wasn't attending the show or any of the 6 shows. There still hasn't been an announcement on the raggamuffin Australian website, although Sean Paul was quick to jump on his twitter (@duttypaul) to apologies to austrailain fans. "This msg is 4 all my austrailia peeps!!! I'm extremely upset that I couldn't make it 2 raggamuffin. I Am sorry " and "4 reasons beyond my control I couldn't make it. Truss mi if things were diff :( AUSI AUSI AUSI!!!RRR!!! .

New Zealand has been upfront apologising to festival goers, and informing the that the other artists will be performing longer sets. Promoter Andrew McManus annouced "IT IS with regret that the promoter of RAGGAMUFFIN 2011, Andrew McManus, announces one of his 10 top acts will not be performing in Rotorua this week.
Jamaican reggae/dance hall artist SEAN PAUL will now not be joining the biggest reggae, hip-hop and soul performers on the planet at RAGGAMUFFIN on Saturday at the Rotorua International Stadium.
"We are as much disappointed as I know his fans will be," says McManus. "However, we know that Raggamuffin fans will not be disappointed in the event. It remains a huge lineup."
Sean Paul will not be replaced in the line up, however the remaining major acts will play extended sets for Raggamuffin fans."

It is not all doom and gloom headlining Raggamuffin 2011 and for her very first New Zealand show, is the queen of RnB, American singer, producer, songwriter, actress MARY J BLIGE. Mary J has recorded with names such as Dr Dre, Tricky, Neyo, Ludacris, Usher, Nas, Common, 50 Cent, Bono, Method Man (Wu Tang Clan), R Kelly, Chaka Khan, George Benson and Aretha Franklin, is the recipient of nine Grammy Awards, has recorded eight multi-platinum albums (selling over 50 million albums and 15 million singles worldwide) and has received the World Music Legends Award for her success in combining hip hop and soul.

  1. Andrew McManus said one day ago that he was definately coming to NZ - see Rotorua Daily Post.
They would have known before the first Raggamuffin when he didn't walk off the plane but they are just trying to make some sales using his name

  3. I found it had been announced on the NZ web site http://www.raggamuffin.co.nz/2011/news.html and on their facebook page http://www.facebook.com/permalink.php?story_fbid=160418364007210&id=123676744363596 yesterday (Jan 30th), but I think Anon@9:45 is right, they want it kept low key!
